Engelberg- Mount Titlis
Riding the gondola TITLIS Xpress, operational round the year, to the intermediate station followed by the World’s first revolving aerial cableway – TITLIS Rotair, is a lifetime experience. The cable car system connects Engelberg at 996 m to Klein Titlis at 3,028 m, through the three stages – Gerschnialp at 1,262 m, Trübsee at 1,796 m and Stand at 2,428 m. The 30 minutes journey up to the Mount Titlis is a treat in itself.
It is the highest summit of the range north of the Susten Pass, between the Bernese Oberland and Central Switzerland. The geographical center of Switzerland is situated about 15 kilometers west of the mountain.
A breathtaking panorama at the summit is mesmerizing – various restaurants with sun terraces, the Glacier Cave, the “Titlis Cliff Walk” – Europe’s highest suspension footbridge and snow-covered peaks. On the glacier chairlift “Ice Flyer” fly over the Titlis glacier to Glacier Park.
